It's more like a neighborhood ...
To attend a Let's ProxThink session, there is no fixed price, but some proxri is suggested. Proxri (pronounced prox’ree) is short for one or more ProxRewards, which are rewards made with the proximity in mind. Proxri in practice are sort of like the give and take of a neighborhood, relationship, friendship or perhaps being a considerate traveler. You may want the neighborhood, relationship, friendship or location you're visiting to survive, thrive, and take care of you as you take care of it. You may also want it to persist, adapt and change as needed, which is how proximities stay sustainable and life stays interesting.
How does this work? Before the session, we suggest a proxri of money in an amount of your choice, to help with the basic costs of the session. Currently, the main basic cost is the loss of David's other income during the session and preparation for the session, which is about USD $50. So the more participants in a session, the less each person would need to proxri to cover this $50. For example, if there were 25 participants, each person could proxri $2. (So get some people you know to join you!) But again, the amount of your proxri is up to you, based in part on your circumstances. After the session, consider the proximity, including your benefits from the session, your circumstances, our circumstances, and some wider context, and then proxri as appropriate. A proxri may include money, things, services, ideas, tasks, relationships, actions, and so on, as well as a combination of these, although we ask that your before-session proxri be financial. Proxri are part of our Proxri Deal.
